Fall Tryouts – 2018 Season (Ages 7-12)

Save the date! Tryouts for our 2018 season will be held October 14th and 15th at Turner Park (rain or shine).  Saturday session will be 1:00-3:00pm and the Sunday session will be held from 10:30-12:30. If your child is between the ages of 7-12 and is interested in playing a high level of competitive baseball, then Longmeadow Travel Baseball may be right for you! Mark your calendar and sign up by following the instructions below.

Sandy Koufax Tryouts – October 14, 2017 (ages 13 & 14)

ATTENTION SERIOUS BASEBALL PLAYERS: this is a “home run” opportunity you don’t want to miss! Longmeadow Baseball Association is forming a Sandy Koufax JLS U14 team for the Spring 2018 season. We will be holding Fall tryouts on Saturday, October 14, 3:30-5pm at Russell Field. Any experienced player who will be either 13 or 14 years old as of April 30, 2018 is eligible to tryout. This is a unique and valuable opportunity to gain experience playing at a 90′ diamond, which will be a huge advantage for high school baseball. We are looking for players to complement our roster of existing players and experienced coaches. Don’t be left on the bench – come tryout!

Player Passes – John L. Sullivan League

March 1st, 2017|

In order to participate in the John L. Sullivan League, every player is required to have a player pass. Passes must be acquired before the season begins and may be obtained at the Greenleaf Community Center, 1188 Parker Street, Springfield on any of the following dates:

Saturday, March 18 – 10:00am – 2:00pm
Saturday, April 1 – 10:00am – 2:00pm
Saturday, April 8 – 10:00am – 12:00pm

Each player MUST appear in person (so their picture can be taken) with a copy of their birth certificate, and pay $8.00 (CASH only) to purchase a pass.

Spring Tryouts – March 19th

Winter Camp Online Registration

January 5th, 2017|

Online registration for Winter Camp is now available. This our first attempt at an online registration system and we’re very excited about it, but it is a learning process, so bear with us if you encounter any kinks along the way.

After completing the registration from, you will have the opportunity to pay by credit card using PayPal, or by mail sending a check to our post office box.

Please follow the instructions you receive in your email rather then the ones you see on the confirmation screens, which are still being edited. Note that there is no need to complete any additional forms, as the waivers and releases have been incorporated into the online form. You may see some references to those forms and to the TriTown League when you register; ignore those, they will be removed soon.

If you pay online with PayPal, you will receive an additional confirmation for the transaction from PayPal.

If you choose to pay by mailing a check, please print out the confirmation email and include with the check you send.

2017 Winter Camp – Jan. 29th – Mar. 26th

LBA will be hosting winter camp again this year with 7 Sunday sessions running from Jan. 29-March 26 (no camp on Superbowl Sunday 2/5 OR 2/19 due to February vacation).  All sessions will be held at Powerhouse Training in East Longmeadow, and will feature instruction by LHS Varsity baseball coach Michael Athas.  An online registration form will be available in the coming days so check back here on our website (or on our FB page) to sign up. In the meantime, check out the attached flyer for more information.

U13 – Fall Baseball

LBA is fielding a U13 team to participate in the Fall Harvest League. We have a few slots available on our roster for players ages 11 or 12 (as of April 30, 2016).  The Fall season is very low-key and consists of about 12 games beginning in late August and running through mid-October. American Legion Tryouts – Sunday, May 15th

May 10th, 2016|

Sunday, May 15th we will be holding tryouts for our American Legion teams. This year we will be rostering Junior (ages 14-16) and Senior Legion (ages 16-19) teams.  The Senior tryout will run from 10am-12pm and the Junior session will be from 3:30pm-5:30pm.  Both sessions will be held at the varsity baseball field (the one closest to the shoppes).  You don’t need to sign up, simply show up at the designated time slot for your age group.  Questions regarding our Legion program should be directed to Jim Sotiropoulos at jimsot2004@yahoo.com.
