What is "Travel Baseball"?
The Longmeadow Travel Baseball Program represents the Town of Longmeadow in the John L. Sullivan (JLS) League. Our Teams play at an elevated (but age appropriate) level of competition.
Travel Baseball is comprised of three separate age divisions, U9, U11, and U13. We are proud of our Travel Teams, who have shown to be highly competitive within our region. We take great pride in developing players, who often continue to play the game at an advanced level.
In addition to seasonal play, our teams look to compete in tournaments throughout the Northeast, including Cooperstown All Star Village, which is one of the most esteemed U13/12U youth tournaments in the country.
As an organization, our commitment is to provide our players with opportunities to further develop their skills on the field and grow as individuals off the field.

How far do teams travel?
For our Spring Season, teams typically travel regional (within a 20 mile radius). However, depending on the age division, teams may participate in ancillary tournaments throughout the Northeast, including Cooperstown.

How LONG IS THE SEASON?
The Spring Season starts at the end of April, with the playoffs concluding around the July 4th Holiday. Playing Travel Baseball is a significant commitment. One can expect to play up to four games per week, as well as practice time.
Being selected to a team requires dedication by players to their teams. The Coaches invest a significant amount of time and effort to the team, and as such, it is expected that participation in our program is the player's primary extracurricular interest during the season. It is anticipated that parents plan any vacations accordingly, to ensure that their player is available for all practices and games.
